Other 2014 Aston Martin models

Aston Martin Vanquish is a rear-drive coupe (G2 class) which replaced the Model DBS. The second generation vehicle was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in September 2012.

Aston Martin already had an experience of manufacturing the Vanquish car between 2001 and 2007, and now the British company decided to revive it. However, the current coupe has nothing to do with its predecessor, since it was created as a successor to the DBS and with solutions and technologies used in the exclusive model One-77. If compared to DBS, it is worth noting that the Vanquish has a much more spacious interior. Somewhere they added 0.79 inches, and somewhere 3.54. But the most noticeable change is that the luggage compartment of the Vanquish is 60% more than the DBS.

The Vankuish has a complex body structure, consisting of load-bearing elements of aluminum alloy and carbon fiber outer panels – an absolute novelty for Aston Martin. And it proved effective as the rigidity increased by more than 25%, and the engineers were able to bring the weight distribution almost to ideal, that is almost 50:50. Among other interesting features worth noticing is the Launch Control system (again, for the first time for Aston Martin) and carbon-ceramic brake discs with six-piston calipers up front and four-piston rear.

Aston Martin Vanquish is forced into motion by 6-liter naturally aspirated V12, issuing 573 hp and 620 Nm of torque, accelerating the car to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds. Engine’s power is transmitted to the wheels through a 6-speed automatic transmission Touchtronic 2 and a limited slip differential. To reduce fuel consumption and harmful substances emitted into the atmosphere, engineers designed a new cylinder head with variable valve timing on the intake and exhaust system processed food and many other items.
